Using docx4all for collaboration

You can launch docx4all as a desktop application from this page. (If you prefer, you can run it in your browser as an applet)

Running docx4all

To do so, click on the orange 'launch' button:

Opening a docx

You will be connected to our demo server, and logged in (as user tester).

You open a file with File > Open. You'll see several sample documents there. If you want to open or save files on your local computer, press the "local files" button in the file dialog.

Collaborating

Changes are only exchanged when you explicitly choose to do so.

To transmit your changes, go to the Plutext menu > Transmit Local Edits or click the button

To fetch other people's updates, go to the Plutext menu > Fetch Remote Edits or click the button

Collaborating on your own document

First, run the content control wizard (Content Control menu > Setup).

Then, from the File menu, choose "Export as New Shared".

Getting your own private space

You are working on documents other people can see. If you want your own login and private testing space, see  here
