Getting Started

You need a client and a server to test the collaboration capabilities.

There are three options:

1. Download a binary client, and use our server.

2. Build the client (for Word 2007 only right now), and use our server.

3. Build both client and server

Recommended option - As at 10 Feb 2008, option 3 is your only choice. Options 1 and 2 will become available in a couple of weeks.

Build the Word 2007 client

See here. Once you've done that, upload a docx and collaborate on it.

Build both client and server

Build the Word 2007 client as per above, and test that it works with our server.

Then, build your own server, and start it.

Finally, point your client at your server.
